Your AI Guides

John is a strategic adviser to leaders on linking people with technology. His vision opens people’s minds to new possibilities, and he challenges them to consider creative options. People turn to John for plainspoken, easy-to-understand explanations.

John is a certified OpenExO consultant in exponential technologies. Prior to launching AI Guides, John served as Vice President, Strategy at a federal crown corporation ($600M budget and 8000+ workforce) with responsibilities for Governance, Human Resources, Communications, Legal, Performance Measurement and Risk.

John obtained his Masters of Philosophy from Oxford, his law degree and Masters of Public Administration from the University of Victoria, and his BA from the University of Toronto. He also obtained his ICD.D for completing the Director’s Education Program at the Institute of Corporate Directors. He has a Secret Clearance with the Government of Canada..

Jen Schellinck’s goal as an AI Guide is to help organizations understand the value that cutting-edge data technology can bring to their work and success.

She uses her knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Science to help organizations achieve their greater potential. For each project, she draws from a pool of experts to provide clients with the most valuable information they need, through consulting, workshops and data solutions.

She received her PhD in Cognitive Science in 2009 and has been active in the AI field for ten years. She is currently an adjunct researcher at the Institute of Cognitive Science at Carleton University and continues to be an active researcher in the field. She has Secret Level clearance with the Government of Canada.

Tristan Shaeen is an Al consultant with a background in experimental psychology, statics and cognitive science. He has worked with both government departments and small and medium sized enterprises, providing insights into applications of analytic techniques and AI tools for operations and decision support. He specializes in data presentation, data storytelling and social science statistical training.

Jordi Torras has been an AI entrepreneur for nearly two decades, and is passionate about the transformative potential of artificial intelligence. He advises a range of companies and founders on how to make the best use of AI in their businesses or products. Most recently, he founded Inbenta, a global leader in AI using natural language processing, and took the company to a successful exit in 2022 after multiple funding rounds with leading VC firms in the US.

He teaches AI and Machine Learning for Business at EADA Business School and is an alumni entrepreneur at the community of High-Impact Entrepreneurs Endeavor. He has an AI and Computer Science degree from the University of Barcelona (UAB) and an MBA with the Euro*MBA consortium. These days he splits his time between the US and Europe. When he has time for fun he plays bass guitar in a blues band!
